Those who successfully complete this OTHM Level 6 qualification are qualified for the Certified level of membership Cert IOSH.

Entry Requirements

Learners enrolling in this qualification are expected to possess:

  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 Award or Diploma or any equivalent qualification

    (OR)

  • For those without having formal qualifications, it is necessary to have 3+ years of work experience

  • Should be 18+ years old to start this course

    The exclusive approval and accreditation of the qualification by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) ensures the learners are eligible to join a Masters programme at universities in UK/USA/Canada University or can pursue OTHM Level 7 and then progress to university learning for a dissertation and achieve the Master’s Degree. Also, they can make their direct entry into suitable master’s degree programmes.

    CertIOSH

    The learners after they have successfully finished their Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety qualification are eligible for the Certified level of membership CertIOSH.

    The qualified learners then can begin their initial professional development phase and have to provide evidence for their practical knowledge in a skills development portfolio (IPD). While concluding this period, the learners have to undergo a professional review interview. Those who successfully clear this interview get qualified for Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH).

    Assessment and Verification

    The comprehensive course units within the qualification are externally evaluated by OTHM and internally evaluated by the center. Since the qualifications are criterion-referenced, it represents that the evaluation is derived based on the agreed learning outcomes.

    Learners are committed to submitting evidence indicating that they have met the overall learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The Assessor is responsible for making the Judgement that shows the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment standards.
