Exam Eligibility

Candidates should meet any of the criteria below to become eligible for the CFPS examination.

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a Fire Protection related discipline from a renowned college/university. This includes degrees in engineering fields applicable to the practice of fire protection. In addition, 2 years of practical working experience in curtailing fire loss, including physical and financial
  • Associate’s degree in Fire Protection or related discipline from a recognized college/university

    or

    A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any distinct field; Also participants should have 4 years of working experience towards curtailing fire loss, physical and financial.
  • High school diploma or any equal qualification, along with 6 years of working experience in curtailing fire loss that includes physical and financial

    Duration & Learning mode

    The CFPS exam is an open-book and 3-hour (max) exam and contains 100 multiple-choice questions. Participants can take this exam at Prometric’s in-person computer-based testing facilities across the world or through online remote proctoring from their place on a personal or work computer.
