Lead exposure remains a serious health concern and it can lead to damage to the brain and nervous system, high blood pressure, reproductive and developmental disorders and in the worst scenario even death.
This program is intended to protect employees from exposure to lead. This program deals with circumstances that possess the probabilities of lead exposure, and removal of paint by a UO employee, ensuring that the surface is free of lead or built after 1978. This program also covers potential lead sources, other than lead-based paint.
